And also, the h100i keeps is more than adequate cooling if you plan on overclocking. I have mine at 4.5 ghz and 1.2v and it doesn't get above about ~60°C
And it actually has the option to connect and control up to 4 fans through the h100i.
You connect a 4 pin connecter from the h100i to a cpu fan header, and plug both fans into the h100i. I control the speeds from corsair link. At least that's what I'm running. And thanks, I actually want to do custom sleeved cables once I do my custom loop, just for added asthetics.
For now yea. Plan on getting maybe a Surround setup going, but for sure a dual monitor setup at some point. Not sure what monitors I'm going with yet.
Currently running a TV as a monitor. Samsung UN55HU7250FXZA 4k UHD Curved TV.
haha. I never use the volume keys on the keyboard anyways.
We'll see haha!
The corsair logo being upside doen would drive me INSANE! That being said, very nice build! +1
Im actually the other way around. I love this keyboard, dont get me wrong, but I miss the num-pad.
Thanks, I know a lot of people do red and black, but I like it too much!
No problem :)
Also, nice build you have!
I tried overclocking awhile back and I dont remember what I got for V and ghz.
Oh sorry, I see what fan you meant now. no it doesnt. And its actually an intake. I havent noticed any extra dust build up. And to be frank, I dont even know why I left that fan there.
yea the bottom of the case has a filter on it. slides right out and is easy to clean.
It honestly just seems to be random when it gives me a display.
Ok, so I just went to test it just to make sure it didn't work again, and it did. Just removed the side panels on the case and it booted up with display via hdmi on the top graphics card.
I don't think it has a speaker on it because I have never heard any post codes even when the computer was working properly
Yes. I've tried vga... I've tried onboard graphics and still nothing.
I'll have to hook up the speaker. I'll let you know what codes I get if any.
No change... and before this issue popped up, I was running 2 different speeds for months and no issues. This issue didn't pop up til I purchased a k65 rgb keyboard, but I wouldn't think that would mess up the boot process.
I have a pretty similar build myself, only with 2 Sapphire 290's, and a few other differences! Love them, and love your build!
I know right! Love mine as well!
+1 FOR THE 760T!!!
Will be watercooling, so heat isn't an issue, neither is wattage either, as I will have a 1300w PSU for wiggle room and upgrades.
Back to the 60hz thing, I turned off vsync in BF4 and I got above 30fps. I guess I'll just have to leave my desktop running in 1080p or 1440p... although I don't know what the bandwidth is for running 1440p @60hz.
Thats honestly the way Im leaning towards... might be stupid seeing as I already have 1 R9 290, but I think thats my only option if I want to solve this problem.
What about the memory problems with the 970's?
I don't know I'm so lost on what to do. Just remembered that displayport 1.2 only supports 2160p @60hz using MST (Multi-stream Transport). So I don't think that would work either.
What do you mean proper ports? The only GPU'S that are hdmi 2.0 are the 970 and 980 if I'm not mistaken?
Was leaning towards EVGA. Seem to have good enough reviews.
I've been hearing that. Probably the smart thing to do.
Didnt clarify what I was currently running, sorry about that.
I want more than 750w, thats what I'm running currently. Was looking at at least 1000w, as I want the room to upgrade.
Ok, thats what I was thinking, just wanted a 3rd party opinion. Thanks!
Made some tweaks, what do you think about this?
Thanks for the input. My coworker said he would not be playing any games, and im sure he won't be over clocking at all.
Those are great fans, but there are two things; one, the color scheme is terrible on them... that alone would make me not want to buy them. And two, noise really isn't really a bother to me, as long as its not blaring I'm fine with it. I use headphones when I'm on my PC anyways.
Amazing Color Scheme!
Sweet! I love everything about this card! And good luck with your build, look forward to checking it out!
I've run multiple games at max settings for a few hours and I've never had the sapphire led change to red (>80 degrees).
Thanks! Great airflow in the case!
Great build! and nice pictures!
Thanks, you too!
Got the motherboard today. IT WORKS! Even the two different RAM sets work together! Must have just been really bad luck... having gone through 3 motherboards and the 4th finally working. Thanks for your help man, really appreciate it!
RMA 'd the board. Should be gettin it today to test it. Updated Bios last night, and still the same problem. So we'll see what happens today.
Ok, I will those things a try. I've been playing with BIOS settings a little: enabling XMP, setting frequency to 1333, 1600, 1866, etc... But nothing has worked to this point so far. I have a set in A1 and A2 right now, and that runs perfectly.
No sorry for the confusion. I meant I have both sets available to use, I don't have both installed at once.
I have a sapphire r9 290 4gb and it's runs about 35-40 degrees celcius. Do you have a reference or non reference card? Also my r9 290 is recongnizes it as a r9 200 series as well
I know, that's the only thing about this case I want to change. Where did you get yours from? I see it for $26 on the NZXT website.
I prefer air cooling too overall, but would like to get an H100i, for the CPU.
