That doesn't necessarily mean you can't overclock it. I think that our friend DJ Dirty Dan knows this setup is not capable of overclocking the i5-6500 and referring to how he recommends aftermarket coolers for all builds ;-)

BTW... I have clocked my i5-6500 up to 4.65GHz on a Z170 >ASRock MoBo.
