Hey man, nice build! About to buy this CPU/MOBO combo..so the multiplier is unlocked? Mind telling me the temps, voltage, and multiplier used on stock cooler? Thanks a ton!!
Good build man. Very unique.
waiting patiently for Jipster69..
Weird..I thought once you went PCMasterRace you didn't go back.
I really feel very uncomfortable about this build..
Did you even read the description?
I'm not saying it's a bad combination, because it certainly isn't. But it just gets a bit boring after awhile. Y'know? But I understand your situation.
Kinda why I've taken a break from this site. To many of them.
Uh oh..you attracted the infamous Skemble.
Didn't know you could use the Intel stock heatsink on that motherboard.
What I would do personally:
Move the hard drive up to the highest 3.5in bay.
Put all the excess wires under the hard drive in the 3.5in bay.
Other than that, I like it! I never see crossfire setups on here.
I was going to praise him. XD
I personally love the Sapphire 260x. Never seen them crossfired.
VERY nice build. Glad to see a nice fully custom loop on an AMD machine. Love it!!
Haha, thanks!! The idea came from my friend. He couldn't believe just how silent it was. He compared it to batman.
New favorite build. Lol. Only because it's so similar to what I currently have. 8320 oc'd to 4.4ghz, and a GTX 780. I'm sure he will enjoy the build! +1
It's fun to hang out in chat. No problem Sam.
So glad I got to watch this be built! Great as always Sam!!
It looks nothing like this anymore! haha.
He explained why. Maybe if you read the description.
I can confirm all of that information is true. Just watched AMD's PC Gaming show conference.
If it's a lost cause, why does your original comment have 14+ downvotes? Ha!
You know, MAYBE if you were talking i5's, then it would be understandable. But i3's? For christ's sake, they have 2 cores, and a locked multiplier.
Whatever bro. Nobody agrees with you. That's why you keep getting downvoted.
Are you stupid? Okay, you get your puny little i3 out, get cinebench running, and put it against my 8320 @ 4.5ghz. Let's see who wins the race. Or, let's see who gets a higher fps in games made for more threads, cities skylines, battlefield, or FAR CRY 4. Then lets do a render test. Who can get a 10 minute 1080p video @ 30fps with a couple layers and effects out faster? Dual cores aren't the way to go. Maybe 4 years ago, but they don't cut it anymore.
ACTUALLY, the 980ti is beating the Titan X in benchmarks. Not the reference design. But the aftermarket cooled ones, the g1 gaming, hybrid, strix, etc.
Definitely consider hitting those cables. And, also take a minute to see what AMD is bringing to the table in terms of GPU horsepower. The rumors of the Fury are looking pretty sweet! Not that I'm a fanboy of either side.. Just a though. Great (partial?) build! I would love to see it updated once it's finished!
Your steam box brutally murders my main gaming PC..Good Build I guess. :/ +1
Okay, I never downvoted the build. And I won't. But that's good that you bought it. Sorry.
Seriously? I see a 3DM icon on your desktop..Loved it until I seen that. Sorry bro. I can't justify the use of piracy.
It looks great so far, but would LOVE to see more internal photos.
I'm in LOVE with this build. I think it's a FANTASTIC project. I wasn't expecting anything much until the picture that showed the spray painted version. Then every photo after was complete eye candy. It's so ordinary. Yet so extraordinary at the same time. Bookmarked.
That's definitely not the H55, nor is it the same memory listed or power supply listed. What a strange cooler for a 970. And really? No SSD? Seems a bit unbalanced. Probably shouldn't start on the cables..
It's a raidmax. It doesn't matter what tier the raidmax is. Just don't buy raidmax.
That's not what I meant. But thanks. XD I meant I couldn't see it in the pictures.
I can't seem to find that Rad!! Lol. I love that you showed the Intel fanboys that AMD can be custom cooled too. Nice build and nice first loop!
You could always put the fan on the other side, that way the 212 is like a push/pull config.
How come you only got a 750ti? Maybe spent a little less on the PSU, and got a 960 or 280? Oh well, great build regardless.
Great build! Glad to see a father/son project! But why not rotate the cooler 90 degrees to the left so that you use the exhaust as a push/pull for the cpu cooler? Not that it's a big deal, I'm just OCD. Great build AND prices.
Megatron was featured a few weeks ago.
Sorry, I solved this pike 6 months ago, ended up getting a R7 250 for about $60 with MIR. Totally worth it too. Thanks anyways!
I was GOING to say, how this is probably modeled off of Barnacules Nerdgasm's "William" machine, except his has dual 6 core processors..not dual 12 cores..holy..
Very nice build, and setup.
I was gonna rag on part choices..until I read the desc. If it was part of an old pc, then more power to ya! Enjoy!
Honestly, a 240mm would barely be enough for certain GPU's. But a 360, seperate 120's, or a 120 and a 240. Those are what you would need for a full loop with one gpu.
Holy crap. That is like the same exact cooler. Sorry, my bad.
I'm sorry to be THAT guy, but I'm pretty sure that GPU is actually a 7950. At least from what I see in pics.
Yeah. A little haha. But I will be doing two builds soon, both with Pentium G3258's. One custom water cooled, and the other is a build for a friend.
I have read EVERY comment on this build, so I believe you have an excellent build here, and I see why you made the choices you did. I LOVE the cable management.
N00b here, but I didn't know that regular memory could work with Xeon, I thought it had to be ECC..? Otherwise, nice build.
I got 4.5ghz with an 8320 on that motherboard.
I should have looked to my right..Didn't see your overclock. Lol.
