I did not remove it, you just can't see it due to camera angle and my cpu cooler.

honestly, buying a proper case and taking your time is the 2 best tips I can give you! Don't rush things and plan things out as you go!

Requires an update to at least bios v17 but it can be done via flashback so no need for a CPU. I flashbacked to v1A which is agesa 1.0.0.3abba and I have no issues.

I actually use Enterprise VL from work so I get it for free, and like I told the guy above the only thing that makes this machine light gaming is the gtx 970 - Once I upgrade it next year this will turn into a heavy gaming PC.

I hear you - Great thing about today's systems is they last a long time - Just look how long Sandy Bridge lasted me and it's not done yet! I plan to build a rig for my dad with the old board, ram and chip - I bought the 7700k with the intention of using it just as long as I used my 2700k.

Will turn into heavy gaming as soon as I get a new GPU and new monitor. currently only gaming @ 1080p so I was in no rush to upgrade the graphics card, next year will be a good year.
