You want to keep it as quiet as possible, so I am curious how you find your corsair cooler? I've read countless reviews on corsair coolers and it's always mentioned how loud they are (pump, but fans especially).
The fact that you put pictures up of peeling the plastic off that GPU made my day. That's totally something I would do haha!
Awesome looking build, hope the Wife is happy!
For 5 bucks I can understand why you'd choose one over the other. That is an easy decision for sure! Of course, if I was in the same position I would pay that difference for a logo to face the correct decision, I had previously thought there was a slightly higher difference in price.
Side note... I have attention to detail, I'm just not hauling my computer around to show off or striving for internet fame, so I have limits on the details. I wasn't insinuating you don't.
I'm shocked you chose that AOI cooler over the other because of the logo direction, I'll never understand that.
The power supply has been working great for me actually. I haven't had any issues yet. This one fit my budget and as a bronze plus I'm satisfied. If you need more power, want it to be fully modular, or a better efficiency rating then you'll want to look as higher priced models.
This was a huge debate for me actually. I really liked the future proofing of the 8gb, but the nvidea software is just too good for me to pass off. In the past I went with a high end AMD GPU and just wasn't satisfied. There are also some games where some graphics won't be shown unless you use nvidea (however there are probably few).
Honestly, I've only noticed on games where physics puts a lot of pressure on the cpu. For example... planetary annihilation: Titans, and a game i've been playing recently and I ran hdwmonitor in the background and all cores capped at 100%. This would be elevated with a better cooler and some overclocking.
Hey, I feel this is probably way late now... but I don't see anything wrong with that cpu.. I choose the 6 cores because based on tomshardware benchmarking.. the 6 core seemed to work best for gaming compared to other 8 cores offerings at that time from AMD.
Yup! I really liked how quiet the case said it would be, and its lived up to it too! I also got it was a really good deal, and planned to use an AIO cooler in the future.
Hi, sorry late reply! I haven't had any issues. Maybe not having enough money to buy an AIO cooler, hah. Thats my next purchase. Other than that the performance has been very impressive, and the case is honestly incredible.
Well, especially with the changes their making after the death of Jobs. I don't like the direction they are going now!
I've put up my competed build but can't for the life of me figure out how to review parts!?
Can anyone direct me on this?
