That is something I am definitely looking at doing sometime in the near future. I'm not hasty with anything I do because I am an information freak! Much research will be done to find the best one for the money. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you very much! It took plenty of painful patience to wait and get the parts 1 at a time. Just imagine holding the i3-3220 in your hand and not being able to enjoy it. I purchased the mobo last so I couldn't use my RAM or CPU until I got it in. Thanks for your comment!

That's exactly what I have mine clocked at! Loving the card so far!

I think we all can agree that there is going to be a small percentage of any mobo that are just lemons. This may account for each one of the bad experiences. Now if you buy a board from Manufacturer A and they replace it and it goes bad too, that would be a sign to not use them again. The likelihood of getting two bad mobos from a respected company is pretty slim , not to say that it doesn't happen. Thanks for all of your input!

Sorry, can't believe I missed where you said you already had RAM and hard drive. I am unable to view the links you provided because of a filter here at work but I will take a peek at these when I get home.

I used some items from your build to give you some other options that I would recommend. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ciou

I tried to make sure not to include any items that have a rebate but when it comes to video cards, it is almost impossible not to.

The video card will be time based because I'm sure the sale will end soon but it is a steal at $109.99 for the performance. The GTX 650 Ti hangs fairly close to the 6870 in this comparison. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/540?vs=680

I set you up with 1. A better gaming processor IMHO 2. Better RAM (not that RAM makes that much of a difference as far as the speed of the RAM goes but having 8 GB will make any time you spend on your computer that much more enjoyable), 3. A better case (comes with 3 fans 2 x 120mm and 1 x 140mm for maximum airflow thereby reducing heat in your case which will improve performance and extend the life of your components.) 4. A higher quality PSU (note that you could probably switch to a 500W version of the one I listed to shave off $20 or so.)

I hope this is helpful to you in some way.

I would suggest going with a GTX 650 Ti instead of the 7850. There's one on sale on newegg right now for $109.99 after a $30 mail in rebate. That will shave off a good bit of cost there. I would also choose a better name brand PSU like Antec, Corsair, Thermaltake, PC Power & Cooling, SeaSonic, XFX. Hardwaresecrets is a great website for determining if a PSU is good or not. You can use the money you save on the video card to afford a better quality PSU. You will probably only need a 500-600 watt PSU at the most. I don't see where you included any RAM for this build. Do you already have RAM or did you just forget to include it? I'd recommend 8GB of DDR3 RAM. I'd stick with G.Skill/Crucial/Kingston/Mushkin/Patriot brand RAM if I were you. The speed will not make much difference at all. Just make sure it is compatible with your motherboard. 800/1066/1333/1600

Philip, I didn't know where else to put in suggestions to the site so I'll put it here. Would it be possible to add CFM to the cpu coolers picker? This may be unimportant to some but thought it might be helpful to others. It would be nice to know what each cooler's cfm is rated at.

Philip, I'm new to the community and I just wanted to say that you have done an outstanding job on this site! I absolutely love putting together builds and being able to cross check for the best price on the fly is priceless! Keep up the great work!

That's one heck of a build! This machine has beauty and brawn! Love the black/white/red. Bravo. My only comment would be why not go with 2x HD7970 cards and save yourself a couple hundred dollars. Just wondering, I'm always looking to save money where possible. I would think you'd be hard pressed to bottleneck the GPU with any current game out right now or in the near future.

Very nice build. What made you go with the G. Skill Sniper RAM? I'm not knowledgeable on all the different kinds of RAM so I'm asking out of ignorance. Why not choose say the Rip Jaws?
