Nice build. Question on the Case as Im looking to get either this one or the cooler master H500. Since you put on the Plastic front how much did that affect your airflow?? As would think it would constrict it. Oh and does this case work with a RBG internal controller with MSi Mystic light?

the only problem i see with this case is air flow has to be poor. With glass on the front.

Nope. Came with ver 7B85v16 i think it is. The next one up fm that i believe is the beta ones which i had no intention of putting on this. Not until they fixed all the bugs in them. running both 8200 Pro as boot drive, and the xpg 11 as the 2nd one since the boot drive has a heat sink on the MB put the S11 in the 2nd slot. Had to adjust the boot order to uefi on the bios but that was bout it.

Fan speed seemed loud so re ran my bios to defaults, and fixed it. now seems to run idle around 750 to 1300rpm so quiet enuf and temps in the 51 to 53 range at idle. So guess its quiet but runs a bit hotter then if i put a big cooler master 212 on it. but stock fan seems to do the job. At its idle at 4mhz so stock works for me.

get the 2700x. 8 cores. 3600 is just "new" but its only 6 cores. Yes its 10% faster but really you wont even notice it and i would rather have 8 cores. now 3700x at 329 just not worth the cost. got my 2700x for 199.00. So grabed it b4 it went back up. Better buy and will keep for 4 or 5 yrs, then maybe get the 4700x as it will be cheap by then. get moneys worth out of b450 msi carbon pro ac board and by then bios updates will be better as they suck right now. Let it settle down a bit.

Tks for the replies. I also sent an email to G Skill to get thier opinion and they said it would work on this MB no problem with the latest BIOS updates that are out now. I guess the users that had issues were late last year and the BIOS'es have all been updated since then. the "AMD Optimized" is the SPDs XMP that are done on the board. IE, you choose either profile 1 or 2 on your MB and it automatically sets the memory to the correct optimized voltage, CL settings etc. to get you to 3200. Basically for users that dont want to mess manually with all the settings as it 'reads' the memory and sets the profiles accordingly. So looks ok for now.
