thank you! I will look into it!
Thank you I will keep these things in mind!
But 850 should generally be enough to support R9 390 crossfire though and not be extreme overkill?
Sorry, I got my terms messed up. I mean Crossfire. Which my mobo does indeed support.
Price Range does not matter that much as long as it is within $1200.
Oh okay. Thank you I did not even realize it was a crappy PSU. I just wanted to save a few bucks and something that was fully modular. Thanks again.
max budget: 925-950 USDollars
audio editing: very light, just once in a while, nothing heavy or anything, not willing to spend a ton of money just to get a little bit better audio editing capabilities.
Will any H97 fit my red color scheme?
I already have a case. The Fractal Design R4
Thanks, this looks really solid list. Thanks! I forgot to mention that I will want to eventually slap 2 GPUs in there within the next couple of years. Cooler probably is not mandatory because my overclocking will be down the road some time as well.
Okay so would you go with a i5 4690K then? Or what else would you recommend I can get that won't break the bank but still allow for overclocking?
I want the potential to do some light overclocking, but nothing crazy. Overclocking would be down the road once I am comfortable with everything. I don't see the point of getting something with a bunch of bells and whistles that I will never use. Yes I am trying the stay on budget. In specific a budget of about $900 - $950 USD. There really is no certain color scheme I am going for. That all being said do you have on motherboard in mind that fits my needs particularly? Thank you for your time.
Do you have any experience with it? What puts it ahead of the others?
I may do some light overclocking eventually but not right away. This is my first ever build and I have heard that the gaming 5 is really user-friendly for noobs. Color scheme would be nice but I am pretty set on getting Fractal Design R4 so it really wouldn't matter because there is no see-thru window in it. That being said. Do you still think no. 3 is my best bet?
Which H97 motherboard? Assuming you mean the ASRock Fatal1ty H97 Killer? Pretty sure thats it just double checking.
really solid build top to bottom. Nice work.
Looks good to me. Are you planning on Over-Clocking?
It is a pure gaming and general use build. The Intel i5-4670k Quad Core seems to stack up really well against the latest CPUs. Plus its right around my price range [at least the expected range :)]. I have read just a few reviews and they all seem very positive. I was wondering if the Intel Core i5-4670K would be more "bang for your buck" than the i5-4440? Or in regards would I be better off just spending money on the graphics card? Let me know! Thanks!
Yeah that seems like a pretty decent option at this point. Thanks for the input Jacobs!
No thanks. I do not want to pay the i7 price and besides its pretty pointless since I will not be doing any video or pic editing. Thanks for the input though!
Sorry, I am a bit of a newby in this whole process of building my own custom PC. So in specific, what i5 would you recommend. Thanks for all your help!!
