It depends heavily on what you want to do with the processor, can you give us some more information on what you plan to use it for?

They are awesome, but I regret not getting 144hz monitors as I play counter strike competitively. I think there are also newer models now.

You can ssh into the site's directory if you are an admin. Assuming the web server runs linux it's just like using command line linux.

From what I've seen it's not gonna work, and unless someone who knows better tells you otherwise I wouldn't go for it. There could be a myriad of issues that would prevent it from working.

Nice! I was also thinking about the switch, but I actually PM'ed linus and asked him, and he said the 810 felt a bit plasticky, so I went with the 650D. However now, after I put in a custom LC loop I wish I had gone with a full tower...I had to mod the front fan to fit a 140mm rad, and the res installation was a bit cramped. Overall though, it's a really awesome case! Great for a build on air imo.

CAS Latency - Column Address Strobe (time it takes to find n location on the "x" axis in memory) RAS Latency - Row Address Strobe (time it takes to find n location on the "y" axis in memory, nearly instant, doesnt matter)

The only thing there that you should care about is the CAS latency, measured in CPS, and those look a-okay.

Each JEDEC IIRC refers to a different part of memory, not sure if they all refer to modules, or to pieces like the decoder and also the modules. So they can be different.

EDIT: Changed some words around, it's been a long day. Let me know if you want some more info.

This isn't actually 240Hz, it's like enhanced 120hz. I saw an article somewhere about the tech that makes it work...let me see if I can find it.

EDIT: Here's a nice graphic that explains how it works:

Yeah, if you're using the iGPU get an i5 and a nice quiet air cooler.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "HTPC Thin-Mini ITX 95w Max, which CPU?"

Are you going by the pcpartpicker wattage estimates? Because those aren't completely accurate.

For gaming you might want to get an i3 + a GPU. Though if you don't have room for a GPU, an i5 would be your best bet.

DO NOT PASSIVELY COOL. If you will be using this for streaming, gaming etc the CPU will be running at high load and passive cooling will not be able to dissipate the heat (unless you're using some 4ft high heatsink).

You can disable hiberfil.sys to prevent it from hibernating like that. It's the file where windows dumps a copy of memory, kind of like pagefile but only in the sense it works with main memory.

Here's a good link:

I think buy another one will be the way to go. Amperage isn't everything, quality of the components (and how old they are) also plays a big role. Get a 400-600W 80+ PSU if you do get a new one.

It makes it hotter, didn't mean louder. Ofc you could get a better cooling solution, but that's more expensive.

If he wants quiet and cool, he wouldn't be overclocking at all. Perhaps a 4770S would be a better option?

I don't have experience with the K70, but my keyboard uses blues and they are amazing! I use it for competitive CS and lots and lots of programming, it is amazing in both categories! Reds are not so good for typing (in general) so if you do a lot of programming/writing, you might want to consider blues. the downside of course, is that they are freaking loud.

If this is still an issue RMA it. Getting a new one is your best course of action, no point in spending tons of time trying to fix something covered by warranty.

To format something for windows 7, you don't need a windows 7 key. You just format the disc as an NTFS drive. That should do the trick.

Well you're cutting it close with the amperage, and stressing the PSU in the process, so I would say if you have the cash go ahead and upgrade, but it's not immediate. I'm not an expert on PSUs though, so everything I say should be taken with a grain of salt.
