Comment reply on Forum Topic "Thoughts on the 2060 for 1440p gaming?"

"people are saying they think it's overpriced for the xx60 line"

That's because its not really a 60 series.

What they were originally probably doing before the mine craze. the 2070 is the 2060 the 2080 is the 2070 the 2080ti is the 2080

I'm also a 1440p gamer. I'm considering this or the 2070 XC ULTRA just to have the RTX for the future. If I cant get the 2070 closer to "420 then i'll get the founders 2060 for £329. Not paying more than that from partners, as might as well get the 2070.

Thanks. Yes, but depends in which orientation you put it, but in general I think its not a good look stuffing it into a small case like this. You're better off with an AIO if you want better cooling.

www.scan.co.uk Always purchased from them only because each time I wanted to purchase from EVGA, they never had the stock. Never had a problem with anything I've purchased from this site. Since the GTX 570 I've purchase all my GPU's from them.

Only thing is I find them sometimes to be a bit expensive compared to other retailers. Especially delivery.

  1. Yes an Alan key I believe it was 1.5mm.

  2. Haven't a bad thing to say about it, not everyone is having the heat issue. I also have no coil whine.

  3. The basement can hold 3 HDD, 2 HDD if you are going to put a SSD in the front window because of the cable that takes up the first HDD slot.

Thanks! Have not notice any difference while gaming. Its in a x16 Slot not x8. Besides I don't think there would be a huge performance decrease even if ran in x8 but you would have to run tests to be sure with your own GPU. But probably minute at best and hardly noticeable using 8 lanes.

Thanks! I thought about that but, like the way the ones I have make it look more "industrial" if I do Ill probably just get the 8 pin connectors for the GPU and leave the MB power cable as is :)

I asked be quiet about this and they said it was fine in this orientation. I also have been watching temps and they are perfectly fine. Also the temps are fine with the GPU in this slot. If I had a 3 way sli set up, the GPU would have to be that slot regardless.

My step-up is running out so have to upgrade to the 1080 now. But will sell when the ti comes out ;)

Thanks for your reply. It was purely for aesthetics. I have ended up just leaving the fan underneath the cooler so it's under the logo, Like how Joker Productions mounted his. I don't see a lot of people mounting it like this though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3MUWd1G928

Lmao sorry i think you misunderstood as i didn't give you more info. Not actually on top of logo itself. For e.g. if the logo on the front is horizontal, with the fan on top side, instead of underneath, so the fan is facing the roof of the case.

PSU more than the GPU... might as well gotten a cheaper psu then added that extra coin for a 1080.
