I am not an expert on mobos by any means. Idk of any software. Hopefully someone can help you. It sounds like a faulty mobo. The randomness confuses me though. The PC stays on though? Just peripherals turn off?

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Peripherals stop working"

This is interesting. I would suspect motherboard issue. However, you said randomly, how are the temperatures in the case? Is your mobo getting hot? You can't make any connection to the 'random'?

http://www.moddiy.com/pages/Power-Supply-Connectors-%26-Pinouts.html

This site describes the different pins in the 8 pin cpu cable to just a 12v connector therefore as long as you connect the 12V and ground sides correctly to the 4 pin spot, it shall work.

Let us know.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Total fail on my epic build. No video display."

you need to connect the 8 pin to the 4 pin cpu connector. the 8 pin connector is notched to use just 4 of them. that's what this forum says.

I would have gotten a 3GB video card for a little more. I have a 2GB card right now too. Still a great card for sure though.

Everything else looks good.

That's a lot for a 120hz monitor... I guess they are all that expensive though.

Just FYI. Battlefield 4 beta was only using about 2.5GB of Ram and about 2.5GB of VRAM. So...

Get atleast 3GB on Video card and I would say 8GB RAM is good, but 16GB ram will future protect you.

Great! I'm also looking at the R9 290 when it comes out depending on price.

RAM doesn't need to be faster than 1600. At 2400, you may see 2fps difference in gaming.

Clean them cables up and it will look SWEEET! It will help with case cooling too.

I like the rig man.

I recommend a 128GB SSD, radeon 7950, and you can't go wrong with ASUS(mobo).

Also, you don't need water cooler unless you are going to overclock.
